Wishful Drinking

Broadway Premiere

Wishful Drinking

created and performed by Carrie Fisher
directed by Tony Taccone

Legendary actress, author and tabloid sensation Carrie Fisher boldly takes her sensationally bizarre life story to the Broadway stage. In Wishful Drinking, Carrie divulges all the highs and lows of life as a Hollywood princess, including her battles with depression, mental illness and any number of addictions, affairs and breakdowns...and whatever else she can still remember. The child of Hollywood inbreeding and the poster child of male teenage fantasies, Carrie bares all in what she describes as an embarrassingly intimate account of her all-too-eventful existence. Part performance, part confession and all kinds of crazy, Wishful Drinking is both a juicy celebrity tell-all and a hilariously intoxicating theatrical event.

Cast:
CARRIE FISHER

Alexander V. Nichols provided the scenic, lighting and projection design.

Everyday Rapture

Sherie Rene Scott in
Everday Rapture
by Dick Scanlan & Sherie Rene Scott
Directed by Michael Mayer

Tony Award® nominee Sherie Rene Scott has taken on some of Broadway's most challenging roles, including an evil sea witch (The Little Mermaid), a pampered princess (Aida) and a dirty, rotten scoundrel (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels). Now this leading lady is playing her most daunting part yet: herself. Well, kinda.

EVERYDAY RAPTURE tells the true-ish story of a young woman's journey from Mennonite to Manhattanite and from bedroom lip-syncher to Broadway semi-star! Featuring songs by David Byrne, Elton John, Mister Rogers, The Supremes, Tom Waits, U2 and Judy Garland, EVERYDAY RAPTURE is an uplifting and uproarious new musical that asks, is it better to worship...or BE worshipped?

This sensational production is directed by Tony Award winner Michael Mayer (Spring Awakening) with a book by Sherie Rene Scott and Tony Award nominee Dick Scanlan (Thoroughly Modern Millie), choreography by Michele Lynch, and a fabulous cast led by Miss Scott. Don't miss EVERYDAY RAPTURE—a musical like this doesn't come along every day!

The star he's working with doesn't get the play. The disgruntled stage manager happens to be his bitter ex-fiancé. The set technician is high. Just another day in the life of an understudy. The most thankless job in theatre takes center stage in Theresa Rebeck's bitingly funny new look at the underbelly of the acting world. Through the course of a dress rehearsal, we glimpse all the genius, bitterness and ridiculousness that underscore a life in showbiz. The Glass Menagerie

The Glass Menagerie
by Tennessee Williams
directed by Gordon Edelstein

Two-time Tony Award® winner Judith Ivey starred as Amanda Wingfield in this daring interpretation of Tennessee Williams' classic drama, which came to Roundabout Theatre Company following a critically-acclaimed run at the Long Wharf Theatre. THE GLASS MENAGERIE is a gripping portrait of an American family struggling to maintain the fragile balance between a difficult past and an uncertain future. This powerful new version blurs the delicate line between playwright and narrator, infusing Tom Wingfield's (Patch Darragh) flashbacks with fresh meaning and bringing visceral truth to his tangled relationships with Laura (Keira Keeley), Amanda and Jim (Michael Mosley ). Renowned for its vivid characters, exquisitely written dialogue and absorbing story, THE GLASS MENAGERIE has the capacity to move, to entrance and to dazzle.
